Touch & Care of Cashmere

Close-up of soft brushed cashmere fibres
We focus on the final touch - soft, warm and comfortable enough to be worn close to the body.

Cashmere is soft by nature.
How it is made changes how it feels.

Fine cashmere fibres create the foundation for softness and warmth. The way they are spun, knitted and finished determines the texture, weight and feel of the final piece.

We choose finishes according to how each product is worn. Some pieces need to feel light and smooth. Others are made softer and fuller for the face, neck and head.

Brushed cashmere

The art of the brushed finish.

The soft halo of brushed cashmere is created during finishing. After knitting, the cashmere is gently washed to help the fibres relax, then carefully brushed to raise fine fibres from the surface of the knit. This gives the fabric its fuller, fluffier appearance and a soft, airy touch.

The brushing needs a careful balance: enough to develop an even layer of soft fibres, while preserving the structure of the knit beneath. Too little finishing leaves the surface less full; too much can weaken it. The aim is a gentle, consistent finish that brings out the softness of cashmere without losing its lightness or shape.

This raised surface creates the comforting texture you can both see and feel. We choose brushed cashmere mainly for pieces worn around the face, neck and head, where a soft touch against the skin matters most. The result is gentle warmth with an airy feel, made to sit comfortably close to you.

Airy texture. Soft touch. Gentle warmth.

The making of softness

  1. 01

    Washing

The knit is gently washed to relax the fibres and prepare the surface.

  2. 02

    Raising

A controlled brushing or raising process gradually brings fine fibres to the surface.

  3. 03

    Resting & shaping

The fabric is allowed to settle so the brushed surface develops evenly.

  4. 04

    Finishing

The surface is gently refined to create its soft, airy and consistent touch.

The goal is not simply to make cashmere feel softer, but to create a balanced surface - fluffy, warm and comfortable while preserving the structure underneath.

Our classic cashmere is designed for the parts of winter you feel most deeply.

With a smoother, closer-knit surface, it sits comfortably against the body and works as a warm base layer without unnecessary bulk.

We use it for leggings, thermal pants, knee warmers and socks - pieces made to stay close to the skin and hold warmth where the body needs it most.
